numeric filters are indicated by the # symbol and only apply to sections that allow numeric entries operator description equals shows records that contain the exact filter entry does not equal shows records that do not contain the exact filter entry contains shows records that include the filter entry excludes shows records that do not contain the filter entry less than shows records that to configure and use date and time filters in the ui the filters work across three types of fields date – filters by calendar date only (example 2025 05 09) time – filters by time of day only (example 14 30 00) date & time – filters by full timestamp (example 2025 05 09 14 30 00) operator behavior by field type operator date time date & time equals returns records that exactly match the selected calendar date returns records that exactly match the selected time returns records that exactly match the selected full timestamp does not equal returns all records not on the selected calendar date returns all records not at the selected time returns all records that do not match the selected full timestamp less than returns records dated before the selected value returns records before the selected time returns records earlier than the selected timestamp less than or equal returns records from the selected date or earlier returns records at or before the selected time returns records at or before the specified timestamp greater than returns records dated after the selected value returns records after the selected time returns records after the selected full timestamp greater than or equal returns records from the selected date or after returns records at or after the selected time returns records that match or occur after the full timestamp previous returns records from a past calendar unit (day, week, etc ) returns records in the current time unit (minute, hour, etc ) returns records in the current date time range (for example, current month) ui input types operator input type equals / does not equal date picker / time picker / date time picker less than / greater than date picker / time picker / date time picker previous / next numeric input + unit selector (minute current unit selector (value fixed to 0) for the previous and next operators, some units like days or weeks may include the current day in date filters this behavior may not strictly reflect a full 24/48/72 hour window we are actively working to improve this consistency example use cases scenario field type operator input expected result retrieve records from the last 2 minutes date & time previous 2 + minute records from 2 minutes ago to now get entries from next 2 weeks date next 2 + week records from today through next 2 full calendar weeks (sunday–saturday) analyze data from current week date current 0 + week records from sunday to saturday of the current week show logs after a specific timestamp date & time greater than may 9, 2025, 2 00 pm records occurring after 2 00 pm on may 9, 2025 retrieve data from last month date previous 1 + month records from the last fully completed calendar monthexample march 1–31 if today is in april compare 3 days vs 72 hours date & time previous 3 + day / 72 + hour 3 days april 21, 12 00 am – april 24, now 72 hours april 21, 3 01 pm – april 24, 3 01 pm previous shows records with dates and times earlier than the specified date and time the value entered with this operator determines the range—such as 2 minutes, 1 day, or 7 months—before the current time examples previous 3 days retrieves records from exactly 3 calendar days ago up to the current time if today is april 24, 2025, at 3 01 pm records from april 21, 2025, at 12 00 am to now time fields ignore the date, returning all valid times date and time rolling window; date full calendar days previous 72 hours retrieves records from 72 hours ago to now if today is april 24, 2025, at 3 00 pm records from april 21, 2025, at 3 00 pm to now covers exact rolling time; differs from "previous 3 days " previous 1 week retrieves records from the last fully completed calendar week if today is thursday, april 24, 2025 records from sunday, april 13 to saturday, april 19, 2025 previous 1 month retrieves records from the last fully completed calendar month if today is april 24, 2025 records from march 1 to march 31, 2025 next returns records that occur from now forward, based on the selected unit examples next 2 hours records from now to 2 hours later next 3 days from now through the next 72 hours next 1 quarter from now through the last day of the next quarter next 24 hours includes current day and next day for date fields current filters records within the current unit of time selected examples current day all records from today current week records from sunday to saturday of the current calendar week current month from the 1st to the last day of the current month use the appropriate combination of operator, unit, and field type to create dynamic and precise date and time filters for rolling windows (for example, "last 2 hours") use previous or next for static comparisons (for example, "after 3 00 pm"), use comparative operators selection selection
