the sorting tab in the chart configuration panel allows you to adjust the order in which data items are displayed in the chart by default, all dimensions are sorted by label in ascending order in the application, two dimensions are available for sorting dimension 1 and dimension 2 each dimension can be independently configured to refine the data presentation further sorting options to change the sorting order for a dimension click the drop down menu next to the respective dimension by label alphabetical order (ascending/descending) by value numerical or value based order (ascending/descending) available for single dimension charts and as a special option for two dimension bar charts custom manually reorder the data note for charts with a single dimension, by value sorting is available for bar charts with two or more dimensions, there is an additional sort by value option that allows you to sort by a specific dimension value date fields with certain group by types may have limited sorting options (e g , date fields with standard group by may only support label sorting) custom sorting when selecting custom sorting, all available data items within the chosen dimension are displayed in a list you can rearrange the items by dragging and dropping them into the desired order this manual adjustment provides flexibility to align the chart’s presentation with specific business or reporting requirements the sorting configuration directly impacts both the tabular and visual representation of the data, allowing you to tailor the report according to your preferences
