Use it to see contract usage for the current billing period, filter by tenant and automation, and drill into playbook or companion prompt usage. :::hint{type="info"} **Hero AI Credits** appears under **Admin Panel > Usage**. Open **Admin Panel**. 2. Go to **Usage**. 3. Click **Hero AI Credits**. ## Credits Summary When the **Hero AI Credits** feature is enabled for your account, the top of the page shows contract-level totals for the current month. Starting in **Turbine 26.2.0**, accounts with **Hero AI Credits** enabled can have a monthly **credit allocation** enforced across Hero AI features. When the feature is disabled, the **Credits Summary** section is hidden; the **Playbook Usage** and **User Prompts** tabs remain available. | Metric | Description | | ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Credits Used** | Hero AI credits consumed for the month | | **Credits Remaining** | Credits left for the month | | **Total Monthly Credits** | Total credits allocated for the month | | **Usage progress** | Percentage of monthly credits used, with the contract month label (for example **481.21% Hero AI credits used for June 2026**) | The **Credits Summary** reflects **contract-month totals** and does not change when you adjust **Date Range** or other filters on the tabs below. Tab summary cards and charts use the filters you select. When usage reaches or exceeds **100%** of the monthly allocation, the summary shows an alert message: | Usage level | Message (typical) | | ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **100%** | Your Hero AI usage has reached your monthly limit. Please contact Swimlane for assistance. | | **Over 100%** | Your Hero AI usage has exceeded your monthly limit. Please contact Swimlane for assistance. | :::hint{type="info"} **Credits Used** and **Credits Remaining** always reflect values from the first of the month. If your account recently switched to credit-based pricing, the numbers can look off until the next monthly cycle. Contact Swimlane Support if you need the current balance confirmed. ::: These banners appear on the usage page. Threshold **notifications** are separate in-app and email alerts. Contact your Swimlane Customer Success Manager or Swimlane Support to add credits or change cap behavior. ## Playbook Usage Tab The **Playbook Usage** tab shows Hero AI credit consumption tied to **Hero AI native actions** within playbook and component automation. ### Filters | Filter | Description | | -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Date Range** | Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or Custom date range | | **Tenant** | One or more tenants (multi-tenant accounts) | | **Type** | **Playbook** or **Component** | | **Name** | Filter by playbook or component name | | **Model Type** | Filter by model tier used for the usage row | ### Summary Cards and Chart - **Total Credits** — credits used for the filtered playbook or component usage in the date range. - **Average Credits Per Day** — average daily credits for the filtered selection. - **Hero AI Credits** chart — bar chart of credit usage over time for the current filters. ### Usage Table | Column | Description | | ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Tenant** | Tenant where usage occurred | | **Type** | **Playbook** or **Component** | | **Action** | Hero AI action identifier. Links open the canvas in a new tab when the item still exists. **Deleted** labels appear when the source no longer exists. | | **Model Type** | Model tier associated with the usage | | **Total Runs** | Number of runs in the filtered period | | **Total Credits** | Credits consumed | | **Avg Credits** | Average credits per run | ## User Prompts Tab The **User Prompts** tab shows Hero AI credit consumption from **Hero AI Companion** and related prompt-based features. ### Filters | Filter | Description | | -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Date Range** | Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or Custom date range | | **Tenant** | One or more tenants | | **User** | One or more users | ### Summary Cards and Chart - **Total Credits** — credits used for companion prompts in the date range. - **Average Credits Per Day** — average daily credits for the filtered selection. - **Hero AI Credits** chart — bar chart of credit usage over time. ### Usage Table | Column | Description | | ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Tenant** | Tenant where prompts were sent | | **User** | User who sent prompts | | **Prompt count** | Number of prompts in the period. Models are selected dynamically per prompt in Hero AI Companion. | | **Total Credits** | Credits consumed | | **Avg Credits** | Average credits per prompt | ## Unsaved Playbook Test Runs When you run **Test** on a **Hero AI Native Action** before you **save** the playbook, that usage is logged on **Hero AI Credits**, **Hero AI Prompts**, and **Hero AI Tokens**. On the **Playbook Usage** tab, the usage table may show placeholder values: | Column | What you may see | | ---------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Action** | Auto-generated placeholder (for example `heroAI_ahecv`) instead of your action title | | **Name** | **Unsaved Playbook** and **Unsaved Flow** instead of the saved playbook and flow names | After you **save** the playbook, later **Test** runs and production runs use the saved playbook name, flow name, and action name. :::hint{type="info"} Save the playbook before testing if you need usage rows to show final automation names. The same placeholder behavior applies on [Hero AI Prompts](docId\:RV7WVN3wx2Uwa_bCHY7uR) and [Hero AI Tokens](docId:8g7pp4ZUIwUisuVyQ32s9). ::: ## Soft and Hard Caps Starting in **Turbine 26.4.0**, accounts with **Hero AI Credits** can use **soft** or **hard** monthly caps. Cap type is set on the account (typically by Swimlane as part of your contract). | Cap type | At 100% of monthly credits | Typical use | | ------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- | | **Soft cap** (default when hard cap is off) | Hero AI automations **may continue to run**. Additional overage notifications for that monthly cycle are **not** sent after the 100% notice. | Allow continued operation while you arrange more credits | | **Hard cap** | Some automations that use Hero AI **may stop** to prevent unexpected overages. | Strict enforcement of the monthly allowance | Unused credits do not roll over to the next month. When a hard cap blocks inference, Hero AI can return an error such as: **Your AI credit usage has exceeded the limit. Please contact support for assistance.** Contact your Swimlane Customer Success Manager or Swimlane Support to add credits or change cap behavior. ## Usage Notifications Starting in **Turbine 26.4.0**, Turbine can notify account administrators when Hero AI credit usage crosses **75%** or **100%** of the monthly allotment. Threshold notifications are controlled by the **Hero AI Credit Notifications** feature flag. | Threshold | Cap type | Title (typical) | What it means | | --------- | ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **75%** | Soft or hard | Notice: You have used 75% of your Hero AI credits | Early warning. Body includes billing month, total monthly credits, and credits remaining. | | **100%** | Soft | Notice: You have used 100% of your Hero AI credits | Allowance reached. Automations that use Hero AI **may continue**. No further overage notices for that monthly cycle. Credits remaining shown as **0**. | | **100%** | Hard | Action Required: You have used 100% of your Hero AI credits | Allowance reached. Some Hero AI automations **may have stopped**. Credits remaining shown as **0**. | Notifications include: - **In-app** notification (mandatory for this alert type — it is not bypassed by in-product notification opt-out) - **Email** to the same recipient set **Recipients:** Account administrators when Enhanced RBAC is off. When Enhanced RBAC is on, recipients are users with the relevant Usage permission for the account. :::hint{type="info"} Threshold alerts help you act before or when the monthly allotment is exhausted. Monitor ongoing consumption on **Admin Panel > Usage > Hero AI Credits**. Cap enforcement and threshold alerts are described in [Soft and Hard Caps](docId\:FPBH2J8Xm1TfDvEjnc8KB) and [Usage Notifications](docId\:FPBH2J8Xm1TfDvEjnc8KB). ## Historical Data and Migration Limits The **Hero AI Credits**, **Hero AI Prompts**, and **Hero AI Tokens** dashboards use reporting fields that were not captured in older usage logs. ### Hero AI Credits and Hero AI Prompts When you filter to dates **before 26.2.0**: | Area | Behavior | | ----------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Tenant filter** | Works for historical and current data | | **Playbook**, **Component**, **Type**, and **Model Type** filters | Do not apply to data from before **26.2.0** because older logs lack those fields | | **Summary bar charts** | Total credits or prompts and average per day can still display for older ranges | | **Usage table** | May appear empty for older date ranges even when summary charts show totals | Use **Tenant** and current-month date ranges when you need row-level detail. For token history, see [Hero AI Tokens](docId:8g7pp4ZUIwUisuVyQ32s9). ### Hero AI Tokens Token counting is **not retroactive**. The **Hero AI Tokens** dashboard shows usage accumulated only **after** the **26.2.0** release.
