To install the Vulnerability Response Management, you need to request the SSP from your Swimlane representative.

Once you have the SSP:

- Connect to supported vulnerability scanners using API keys or upload CSV exports.
- Configure ITSM integrations
- Set up user roles and permissions.

## Initial Configuration

**Input Sources**

- Define and integrate vulnerability input sources such as scanners (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7).
- Request the corresponding ingestion playbook from your Swimlane representative.
- Configure any assets necessary for the scanner.
- Configure remediation paths by integrating ITSM tools (example: ServiceNow, Jira).
  - Update the Vulnerability Assets application field “Remediation Channels” to include a unique value for each of your supported remediation channels.
  - Create a component using the **Remediation Item to Ticket v1.0.0** interface. The component is responsible for creating a new work item in the defined remediation channel.
  - Insert the new component into the **VRM - Route and Submit Ticket to ITSM** component parallel
  - After the component but before the parallel WAIT, map the following fields to the existing variables using the Update Variable action
    - Ticket\_ID
    - Ticket\_Status\_Updated
    - Ticket\_Opened
    - Ticket\_Status
    - Ticket\_Status\_Message
  - Using webhooks or existing connectors, create a flow to update the Ticket\_Status value in the Remediation Items record based on your unique process.
