Occasionally, an SPI upgrade preflight check may fail with “Platform Installer (x.x.x) is incompatible with this release.”

If this happens, then perform this workaround to proceed with the upgrade.

1. **Delete the kurl-last-config configmap:**

:::BlockQuote{indent="1"}
kubectl delete pod -l app=kotsadm-fs-minio
kubectl get configmap -n kurl
kubectl get configmap -n kurl -o yaml kurl-last-config > kurl-last-config.yaml
kubectl delete configmap -n kurl kurl-last-config
:::

2. **On any node, rerun the SPI installer:**

:::BlockQuote{indent="1"}
curl -sSL https\://get.swimlane.io/install | sudo bash -s ha
:::

(Include your override YAML file if you are using one.)
