Dashboards
a swimlane turbine dashboard is a visual display of records, reports, and charts associated with the applications in the workspace each dashboard consists of cards, and a workspace can contain multiple dashboards users can only access workspaces, dashboards, records, and reports if granted permissions by an administrator if a dashboard or report is not visible, contact your administrator to confirm access rights dashboards enable flexible, real time filtering and visualization of data they support both global (dashboard level) and card level filtering, allowing users to interact with dynamic data without editing underlying reports this is especially beneficial in mssp environments, where dashboards may be scoped by customer identifiers (for example, customer id, sla, or time window), particularly in single tenant architectures key benefits of dashboards flexible filtering combine dashboard wide and card specific filters real time insights instantly view updated metrics preset and custom ranges choose from predefined options or configure custom time windows mssp focused views filter by customer, sla, or record ownership export and share pdf, email, and schedules use saved report definitions and options dashboards improve operational efficiency and standardize views across users and teams, providing visibility and agility to analysts and mssp administrators alike dashboard behavior and limitations the following behaviors are intentional for dashboards and related exports they can look like product defects if you expect the same rules as the search or reports pages topic behavior all filters scope each all filters entry applies only to report cards whose report belongs to that same application cards for other applications are unchanged standard chart cards dashboard all filters and the dashboard date range are merged on top of each report’s saved filters when the card loads data widget (pygrid) chart cards widgets are not included when you schedule, email, or download a dashboard pdf they remain on the interactive dashboard only pygrid uses its own code and options; all filters and report filters do not behave like built in charts empty or error states usually appear inside the widget, not as the card level no data to display wrapper used for standard charts charts empty data, errors, and limits built in chart cards may show no data to display when there is nothing to plot service or api errors can show a different status message charts that exceed a chart type’s maximum items may show a too many items style message wording can differ between search and the dashboard the report chart builder can validate or block invalid configuration before load; a dashboard card runs the saved report, so messages and timing can differ from search table only report cards if the report has no chart, the card shows a data table chart specific empty states and limits do not apply refresh and saved report changes refresh on a chart card re runs the data query to pick up saved report definition changes made in another session or tab, reload the dashboard in the browser or open the dashboard again exports and saved definitions pdf download, email, and scheduled delivery use each report’s saved filters and chart settings from the server unsaved edits in search are not reflected until the report is saved see share dashboards chart drill in clicking a chart data mark opens that report in search and applies drill in filters (see docid\ wrkk2fog0wltalf9lopci ) group by day of week and group by hour do not narrow the table reliably reports whose saved filters use or between conditions can disagree with the dashboard after drill in; see that topic dynamic card height after date or data changes when you change the dashboard or card date range or load more data , a chart card may grow or shrink to fit content neighboring cards can reflow; some cards may briefly show no data to display until you refresh the dashboard, resize a card, or reload the page accessing dashboards to access dashboards from the global navigation menu, go to workspaces select a workspace to view its dashboards each dashboard is listed by name select a dashboard to open it note dashboards are scoped at the tenant level and can belong to multiple workspaces dashboard operations the dashboard includes a toolbar that allows users to mark as favorite select the star icon next to the dashboard name to mark it as a favorite this helps quickly access important dashboards from the dashboard list refresh data click the refresh icon to reload data add a card select + add a card to add a visualization this action mirrors the experience of adding a card from the home page all filters apply runtime filters to cards across the dashboard filters are application scoped only report cards for that same application use the filter other applications’ cards stay unchanged you can set multiple filters for different applications report level filters are preserved dashboard level filters are applied on top of report level filters widget (pygrid) chart cards behave differently; see dashboard behavior and limitations if a user has access to a dashboard but not a specific report or its data, the card shows a permission message (not the empty state no data to display text used when a chart has no rows) apply date range filters select a date range such as last 7 days or define a custom time window if no date field is configured for any application, the date range filter will be disabled once enabled, the default value is today so far you can configure date fields under settings and schedules → time filters sharing options use the share icon to download, schedule, or email snapshots manage settings select the vertical ellipsis (⋮) to docid\ df e84g mmlvp3uzh1ej4 open settings and schedules to edit name, description, permissions, and configurations delete the dashboard create or edit the associated workspace dashboard management administrators and orchestrators can manage user home pages from the management > dashboard view see docid\ s tlek8a29po1sdbji6qp documentation for more details
