# Introduction

This guide explains how to authenticate the urlscan.io Analysis connector in Swimlane using API Key Authentication. You will generate an API key in urlscan.io, collect the required credentials, and configure the connector asset in Swimlane Turbine.

# Prerequisites

## urlscan.io Access Requirements

You must have access to a urlscan.io account with permissions to generate API keys and submit scans.

## Required Credentials

During setup you will collect:

- urlscan.io API Base URL\\
- API Key

# Authentication Method Overview

The urlscan.io Analysis connector supports the following authentication method:

- API Key Authentication

# urlscan.io API Setup

Take the following steps to generate an API key in urlscan.io:

1. Navigate to [https://urlscan.io ](https://urlscan.io)and log in to your account. If you do not have an account, create one.
2. Click your profile icon and navigate to Settings & API.
3. Locate the API Keys section.
4. Click Create New API Key.
5. Copy the generated API key.
6. Store the API key securely. This value will be used in the Swimlane connector configuration.

# Connector Configuration in Swimlane

Take the following steps to configure the urlscan.io connector asset in Swimlane.

1. Log in to Turbine.
2. From the left-hand navigation pane, click **ORCHESTRATION** and click **Assets.**
3. The Asset homepage opens.
4. Click the **plus** icon to open the **Configure your Connector Asset** window.
5. Select **urlscan.io Analysis** from the Asset type list.
6. Fill in the** Asset Settings** and **Asset Input **as shown below.
7. Create **Create.**

# Troubleshooting

If authentication fails:

- Ensure the API key is valid and correctly copied.
- Verify the API base URL is correct.
- Confirm the API-Key header is configured properly in the asset.
- Check SSL verification settings if using internal certificates.
- Validate proxy configuration if network traffic is routed through a proxy.
