# Introduction

This guide tells you how to authenticate the Securonix SNYPR connector in Swimlane using HTTP Basic Authentication.

You will obtain Securonix credentials, collect required identifiers, and configure the connector in Swimlane.

# Prerequisites

## Securonix Access Requirements

You must have permissions to:

- Access the Securonix SNYPR platform
- Retrieve API endpoint details
- Use valid user credentials for API access
- Access incident and analytics data (based on role permissions)

## Required Credentials

During setup, you will collect:

- URL (Securonix SNYPR API endpoint)
- Username
- Password

# Securonix Setup

### Take the following steps to retrieve API endpoint URL:

1. Log in to the Securonix SNYPR platform.
2. Identify your instance hostname or IP address.
3. Construct the API base URL in the following format:
   https\://\<HOSTNAME\_or\_IPADDRESS>/Snypr
4. Verify that the URL is accessible.

### Take the following steps to confirm user credentials:

1. Use an existing Securonix account with API access.
2. Ensure the account has permissions to:
   - Query activities
   - Retrieve incidents
   - Access policies and users
3. Verify username and password are active.

**Notes on Multi-Tenant (MSSP) Environments**

- If using MSSP deployment, a **tenant name** may be required for certain actions (e.g., Retrieve List of Incidents).
- Ensure tenant-specific access is configured if applicable.

# Connector configuration in Swimlane

1. Log in to Turbine.
2. From the left-hand navigation pane, click **ORCHESTRATION** and click **Assets**.
3. Asset homepage opens.
4. Click the plus icon to open the Configure your Connector Asset window.
5. Select **Securonix SNYPR** from the Asset type list.
6. Fill in the Asset Settings and Asset Input as shown:

## Troubleshooting

If authentication fails:

- Ensure the **URL is correctly formatted** (/Snypr suffix required)
- Verify **username and password are correct**
- Confirm the **user account is active and not locked**
- Ensure the account has **sufficient permissions**
- Check **network connectivity to the Securonix instance**
- Verify SSL settings if connection issues occur
