# Introduction

This guide tells you how to authenticate the IPQualityScore connector in Swimlane using API Key Authentication.
You will create an IPQualityScore account, generate an API key, and configure the connector in Swimlane.

# Prerequisites

## IPQualityScore Access Requirements

You must have access to an active IPQualityScore account with permission to view API documentation and private keys.

## Required Credentials

During setup, you will collect:

- API Key (Private Key)
- API Endpoint URL

# Account Setup

Take the following steps to create an IPQualityScore account and obtain an API key:

1. Navigate to **IPQualityScore Sign Up **page.
2. Click **Get Free API Key** on the landing page.
3. Complete the registration process to create your account.
4. Log in to the IPQualityScore Dashboard.
5. From the dashboard, select **API Docs**.
6. Select **Proxy and VPN Detection API**.
7. Scroll down to locate the private key.
8. Copy and save the private key. This value is your API Key.

# Connector Configuration in Swimlane

Take the following steps to configure the IPQualityScore connector asset in Swimlane:

1. Log in to Turbine.
2. From the left-hand navigation pane, click **ORCHESTRATION** and click **Assets**.
3. Click the plus icon to create a new asset.
4. Select **IPQualityScore** from the **Asset Type list**.
5. Fill in the **Asset Settings **and **Asset Input** fields as shown below.

6. Click **Create**.

# Troubleshooting

If you encounter authentication issues:

- Ensure the API key is copied correctly from the IPQualityScore dashboard.
- Verify the API endpoint URL is correct.
- Confirm that SSL verification settings align with your environment.
- Check proxy configuration if requests are routed through a proxy.

You have successfully authenticated the IPQualityScore connector in Swimlane.
