# Introduction

This guide tells you how to authenticate the Cybersixgill connector in Swimlane using OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials.
You will generate API credentials in the Cybersixgill platform, collect the required identifiers, and configure the connector asset in Swimlane Turbine.

# Prerequisites

## Cybersixgill Access Requirements

You must have administrative access in the Cybersixgill platform to:

- Create or manage API applications
- Generate OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials
- Access actionable alerts and intelligence data

## Required Credentials

During setup, you will collect:

- API Base URL
- Client ID
- Client Secret

# Authentication Method Overview

The Cybersixgill connector supports the following authentication method:

- OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials

## Cybersixgill Setup

Take the following steps to generate OAuth credentials in Cybersixgill:

1. Log in to the Cybersixgill platform with an administrator account.
2. Navigate to the API or Developer Settings section.
3. Create a new API application or integration.
4. Select OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials as the authentication method.
5. Copy the generated Client ID.
6. Copy the generated Client Secret and securely store it.

# Connector Configuration in Swimlane

Take the following steps to configure the Cybersixgill connector asset in Swimlane:

1. Log in to** Turbine**.
2. From the left-hand navigation pane, click **ORCHESTRATION** and click **Assets**. The Asset homepage opens.
3. Click the **plus **icon to open the **Configure your Connector Asset **window.
4. Select **Cybersixgill** from the Asset type list.
5. Fill in the Asset Settings and Asset Input as shown below.
6. Click **Create.**

# Troubleshooting

If authentication fails, check the following:

- Ensure the Client ID and Client Secret are copied correctly.
- Verify the API Base URL matches your Cybersixgill environment.
- Confirm the OAuth application is active.
- Check SSL verification settings if using internal certificates.
- Validate proxy configuration if routing traffic through a proxy.
