# Introduction

This guide tells you how to authenticate the Abuse URLhaus connector in Swimlane using Host URL Authentication.
You will generate an API key in URLhaus, collect the required values, and configure the connector inside Swimlane Turbine.

# Prerequisites

## URLhaus Access Requirements

You must have access to an Abuse URLhaus account with permission to generate an API authentication key.

## Required Credentials

During setup, you will collect:

- URLhaus API Base URL
- Auth-Key (API Key)

# Authentication Method Overview

The Abuse URLhaus connector supports the following authentication method:

- Host URL Authentication (URL + Auth-Key)

# URLhaus API Setup

Take the following steps to generate an API Key in URLhaus:

1. Go to the URLhaus API portal: [https://urlhaus-api.abuse.ch/](https://urlhaus-api.abuse.ch/)
2. Navigate to the Authentication section.
3. Generate or copy your Auth-Key for API access.
4. Store the Auth-Key securely, as it will be required in Swimlane.

# Connector Configuration in Swimlane

Take the following steps to configure the Abuse URLhaus connector asset in Swimlane:

1. Log in to Turbine.
2. From the left-hand navigation pane, click **ORCHESTRATION **and click **Assets**.
3. Asset homepage opens.
4. Click the plus icon to open the **Configure your Connector Asset **window.
5. Select **Abuse URLhaus** from the Asset type list.
6. Fill in the **Asset Settings **and **Asset Input **as shown:

# Troubleshooting

If authentication fails, check the following:

- Ensure the Auth-Key is valid and copied correctly.
- Verify the API Base URL is correct and has no trailing slashes.
- Confirm SSL verification settings if using self-signed certificates.
- Validate proxy settings if routing requests through a proxy.
